Caruso said initial plans he recalled for an Amazon site started at 16–18 buildings and have since grown in reports to as many as 32–45 buildings; he expressed concern about developers building on wetlands and about several economic-development area expansions in the town and township. He urged commissioners to “stop any future industrial development” in the area and to preserve remaining agricultural and community land.
The comment was part of the meeting’s public-comment period; no board action or response that amounted to a policy decision was recorded in the minutes on the item.
