The St. Joseph County Redevelopment Commission on June 10 opened a sealed bid for the disposition of county-owned property at 56120 Larison Boulevard. The commission received one sealed proposal; the bidder listed a principal contact as Paul Wyman of Kokomo, Indiana.
After a brief recess to review the submission, staff reported the lone bid was found to be responsive and responsible. The minutes record the bid amount in the meeting discussion as "in the amount of $4.55 $3.25"; staff recommended accepting the proposal subject to negotiation and final approval of a purchase agreement by the redevelopment commission.
Commissioners moved to accept the bid subject to negotiation; the motion carried on recorded affirmative votes. Staff will return with a negotiated purchase agreement for final approval by the commission.
The commission did not record additional bidders during the opening and noted the bid satisfied minimum bid requirements per the staff recommendation.
