Board updates: IURC intervention filed; health department found illegal septic replacement; insurance follow‑up pending on ClayFire crash

Board legal counsel reported that the district filed to intervene in the ongoing IURC action and that Jeremy Fetti, the district’s IURC attorney, has filed an appearance and will present an update at a future meeting. Counsel said the county also intends to intervene and that the district expects to be granted intervenor status.

In other Granger-area updates, staff reported that the county health department used ground-penetrating radar and confirmed that a septic tank had been replaced without required permission. The board noted that the health-department violation is a primary concern and that the district had not yet been connected to the property in question; staff paused billing to the current tenant while the issue is resolved.

Board members also asked about reimbursement related to a vehicle crash at ClayFire that required continuous pumping and other costs; staff said they had provided documentation to the insurer (Progressive) and would follow up with Dan and Stacy to determine whether further documentation or payment remains outstanding.

The board asked staff to pursue status updates on the IURC matter, coordinate with county attorneys, confirm which parties intend to intervene and report back at the next meeting. Staff was directed to pause invoices to the tenant at the property with the illegal septic replacement until the situation is clarified.
