Northeast Lakeview College (NLC), part of the Alamo Colleges District, presented plans July 14 to expand its New Braunfels operations by remodeling a recently acquired building and acquiring adjacent land to create a larger workforce training and student services campus.
NLC officials said the college purchased a former call-center building and invested in staffing and preliminary renovations to support a rapid enrollment increase at a satellite site. “We started out with 10 courses, no marketing, and we had 125 students,” Dr. Garcia of Northeast Lakeview College said. Enrollment at the local site grew to about 400 students by 2025, the college said, prompting a search for a larger facility.
