The Police and Fire Commission voted July 22 to approve a police lieutenant promotional list, amended to remove a withdrawing officer.
The commission approved the list, which the meeting packet showed in alphabetical order as Brian Krieger, Eric O'Brien and Jacob Waller, with a motion to approve by Commissioner Dorff and a second by Commissioner Laux. Commissioners present voted in favor and the motion passed.
The commission’s packet noted a recent withdrawal; a Police Department staff member told the commission, “Officer Walner had withdrawn.” Commissioners discussed the amendment on the record and approved the list as amended. The commission said the approved list will remain in effect until July (the packet provided that expiration month).
The action was taken in open session during a special meeting of the Police and Fire Commission. No additional discussion or dissent was recorded on the motion. The meeting then moved on to consideration of revisions to the patrol officer recruitment process.
