The Louisiana Committee on Parole revoked Mario (DOC 513815) on June 24, 2025, after the panel reviewed evidence that included positive drug screens and a photograph the agent said showed the respondent in possession of a firearm.
At the hearing Mario admitted guilt on some administrative counts and defended others. He told the panel the photograph showed a prop used in music production and that he had not intended to place himself at risk for a firearm conviction. A workplace supervisor — who identified herself as a supervisor at Garrett’s Manufacturing — attended by video and asked the board to give Mario another chance, saying he had a job and stable housing if released.
The board noted multiple violations: travel outside approved area, positive drug screens for marijuana and cocaine, and an image on a phone that the agent said depicted the respondent with a firearm. Members expressed particular concern about firearms given Mario’s prior firearm-related convictions. One member said, "I don't have any tolerance for firearms," and recorded a vote to revoke. The chairman and another member joined that vote, and the committee recorded revocation of parole.
The board’s action returns Mario to custodial status; supervising staff will process the revocation and any follow-up required under Department of Corrections procedures.
