The Committee on Parole revoked the parole of Earl Norman at a hearing on June 5, 2025, after commissioners concluded he violated parole rule number 4 and noted a jury had found him guilty of simple assault and flight.
Norman told the board he had been working, starting businesses and trying to stay out of trouble after prior releases; family members and business partners — including his brother Steven Martin, his mother Veronica Wilson and his sister (who said charges against her were reduced) — urged the board to allow Norman to return to family and business responsibilities. Family speakers described Norman as a father figure and entrepreneur and asked the board to consider his rehabilitation and family needs.
Institution staff and the board reviewed the incident report; the panel said the jury verdict and the conviction for assault and flight weighed heavily. After deliberation in executive session, the board voted to revoke Norman’s parole and ordered his return to custody. The revocation was recorded at approximately 10:15 a.m.
