The Crown Point Board of Public Works and Safety on March 5 approved renewing the EventLink platform for scheduling and paying umpires for youth and adult softball and baseball programs.

Paul, who presented the item, said EventLink is used to assign umpires at Sport Plus and to pay umpires on a next-day basis. He said the vendor held the price and this would be the city’s third year using the platform; the renewal amount discussed in the meeting was $300. The board approved the renewal without recorded opposition.

Background: Paul told the board he has received positive feedback from umpires on the platform’s timeliness for payments. The renewal was presented as a routine annual procurement to support recreation program operations.

Staff will execute the renewal and continue using EventLink for scheduling and payroll for seasonal officials.
