’Wrapped in History’ traffic-box art nearing completion, staff shows progress photos

A Crown Point City staff member updated the commission on Wrapped in History, a public-art project that applies reproductions of Hoosier Group artwork to traffic-control boxes in and around downtown.
Staff said the contractor from 9 Mile had completed most of the wraps and only needed to finish door coverings on several boxes; photos shown to the commission included boxes at North and Main, Juliet and Main, near the post office on Easton Juliet, and a work-in-progress at Clark and Main. Staff said the contractor expected to complete the remaining work by the end of the month.
Commissioners thanked staff for the update; no formal action was requested nor required. Staff earlier provided the board with a handout and additional information by email, staff said.
