Joseph Delagard of LiftFund told the Commissioners Court workshop that LiftFund has an active disaster relief program for small businesses and employees affected by the flood.
"As of Wednesday, we have a 156 grant applications, 84 have been approved, and 59 have been funded," Delagard said, giving program metrics shared with attendees. He said LiftFund provides emergency grants up to $10,000 and buy-down loans of $50,000 at 0% with a 60-day deferment on payments and the possibility of a 90-day deferment on request.
Delagard walked through application steps and emphasized the disaster-specific portal on LiftFund’s website: “The website is liftfund.com. Liftfund.com. And there's a green button in there that says, learn more about disaster.” He cautioned applicants to use the disaster link rather than the regular loan button and listed common documentation requests: photo ID, a business utility bill at the affected address, and bank statements for May–July.
Delagard also provided a contact for immediate assistance and troubleshooting with applications: a San Antonio phone number he quoted as (210) 531-5535 for applicants to call or text.
Ending: LiftFund urged affected business owners and employees to use the disaster portal, prepare the requested verification documents and call the provided number if they encounter application issues.
