Commission approves annual excess TIF resolutions for nine allocation areas
Summary

The Crown Point City Commission approved the city’s annual excess tax-increment financing (TIF) resolutions, covering allocation areas labeled 1R through 9R.
City staff described the required annual report and resolutions to the commission and explained that, based on consultant FSG’s numbers and the city’s debt obligations, the expected tax receipts and debt coverage are calculated and remaining amounts are allocated for commission purposes. The staff noted the report must be provided to auditors by June 15.
A commissioner moved to approve the set of resolutions and another seconded. The commission conducted a roll-call vote; all members present voted yes and the motion carried.
Commissioners asked no substantive amendments during the meeting. The vote implements the routine annual TIF accounting as presented; staff will file the reports with auditors and process allocations as indicated in the resolutions.
