The Liquor License Commission continued a Section 77 final hearing for La Souk Hookah Lounge LLC (1 Worthington Street) to Sept. 10, after manager Genesis Pujo said relocation and re-opening were likely to take longer than one month.
Pujo told the commission she was considering two candidate locations and expected to secure a site within roughly a month but anticipated additional time to move and prepare the new premises for opening. Commissioners agreed that a three‑month continuance would give the operator sufficient time to finalize a location and prepare for opening; Pujo selected Sept. 10 as the return date.
The commission’s continuation was approved with Commissioner Cade, Commissioner D’Angelo Antonio and Commissioner Espinosa voting in favor; Commissioner Ramirez abstained. No final licensing action was taken at the July 23 meeting.
