Lycoming County commissioners approved multiple procurement and contract items during their July 24 meeting, including a $25,656 purchase of a chemical product described as necessary for pipeline maintenance, awards for lubrication products and dishwashers, and ratification of two change orders. One vendor invoice was tabled for clarification.
The board voted to purchase CS control (a chemical used to keep calcium carbonate deposits from hardening in pipelines) from State Chemical Solutions for $25,656. A staff presenter said the chemical helps prevent buildup in main leachate pipelines.
The commissioners also awarded a lubrication-products bid to Petro Choice and awarded a bid for built-in dishwashers to Sam Tell and Son for $3,252.75; presenters noted a fourth dishwasher will be added later via change order and that departmental revenue will cover equipment costs for the coroner's facility.
The board ratified a $500 change order for DGR Excavating for EWP OIC 24-0003 and a $16,402 change order for Mitchell Noor for EWP OIC 24-0006. Commissioners debated an invoice for Larson, Kellett and Associates, P.C., in the amount of $39,336.02 and ultimately voted to table that invoice for further review.
All listed procurements and change orders were described at the meeting as budgeted or covered by departmental revenue streams; presenters indicated available funds for the purchases.
