Stava described himself as a near lifelong Tulsan and said he has served about 12 years on the airport board. He reviewed recent airport projects including terminal improvements, a new parking garage, planning for a new control tower and international gates, and efforts to attract international and nonstop routes. Stava said the airport has used a minimum revenue guarantee program and that the city has put roughly $6,000,000 toward minimum revenue guarantees to support new nonstop flights and connectivity.
Councilors thanked Stava for his service and noted his confirmation would be placed on the July 30 5:00 p.m. agenda. No council vote was recorded at the meeting.
