The Northampton Planning Board on Wednesday continued a site plan review by Michael Schafer for a proposed 16,000-square-foot building at 106 Industrial Drive to the board's meeting on Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. The board said updated plans and revised stormwater calculations tied to recent site changes were not yet available for review.
Planning Department staff told the board the applicant had submitted statements about progress but had not filed updated drawings. “They real basically, they need a continuation because we don't have plans. They've reduced the parking. They've done they said they will make the other changes the board talked about,” staff said. Staff also said stormwater calculations must be updated to reflect the parking and other changes.
The board noted the item is a continuation from June 2 and June 26 and that the Conservation Commission must also review the project. Staff said Department of Public Works (DPW) had not completed its review and recommended the board wait until DPW and the Conservation Commission had time to examine the revised materials. “I would think they would be able to do all of that because it's a month, and it really is it's it's sort of down to those last little details for stormwater,” staff said.
A motion to continue the hearing to Aug. 28 at 7:00 p.m. passed unanimously. No formal plan approvals or site decisions were made; the continuation preserves the record and gives the applicant time to submit updated plans and revised stormwater calculations.
