Kim, a county procurement/resource‑management staff member, told the commission that the original 3‑year contract included two optional one‑year renewals and that this vote would exercise the first renewal. Kim said the county initially awarded the contract to multiple firms and that two firms remain on the list; the firms will keep the same 3% commission rate. Kim said the county had previously had three contractors but one (Estes) chose not to renew.
A motion to approve the renewal was made and seconded on the record; commissioners asked for a roll call and the chair called for aye votes. The chair recorded the vote as in favor and said, “It passes.” The commission took no additional action on amendments or price changes and staff said they would continue to use the firms as needed.
The procurement action is recorded in county files as ITB 2022‑9; staff recommended exercising the renewal per the original solicitation’s renewal terms.
