Flagstaff Housing Authority to administer 50 vouchers transferred from Williams

The Flagstaff Housing Authority is finalizing the transfer of 50 Housing Choice Vouchers from the City of Williams, Housing Authority Liaison Sarah (last name not specified) told the Housing Commission. The transfer will add 50 general-purpose vouchers to Flagstaff's portfolio; about 23 to 25 of those vouchers are currently in use by households. Sarah said the transfer preserves housing resources for Williams while expanding Flagstaff's service area to include the Williams city limits. She noted administrative cleanup is required because Williams had not hosted a housing authority staff person since September of the prior year; staff are coordinating with HUD on some technical issues, including how to treat what appears to be a waiting-list-like record from Williams. The transferred vouchers are not targeted to a specific population, Sarah said, and, aside from a change in administrator, current voucher holders will see no change in benefit terms.
