City staff reported four new properties proposed for nuisance declarations — 2208 Larkspur Drive, 2236 Partridge Lane, 2874 Wisteria Drive and 3501 Laurelview Lane — and two properties listed for abatement (11301 Daria Street and 3460 Sheila Drive). Staff said updated reports with photos will be provided at the regular council meeting.
Council members asked about enforcement of political signs in the right of way during the campaign season. Staff said code enforcement is handling a large caseload for grass, weeds and signs and recommended that residents submit complaints through the MyHoover Connect (cClickFix) app to help the city organize and prioritize cases.
“We are in a very busy season right now when it comes to grass and weeds,” a city staff member said. The staff member added that “going through MyHoover Connect or cClickFix certainly helps us organize and prioritize those items.”
Staff said they will update the council Monday with photos and the status of each nuisance and abatement item. No formal enforcement actions were recorded in the work-session transcript.
