Council reviews funding plan for Riverchase drainage project after settlement

“We’re proposing 1.5 million to be taken out of the Lorna Road, the 3021 Building,” a city staff member said. The staff member said the city is preparing to advertise the work and expects an approximately four-week advertisement period and a mandatory pre-bid meeting for contractors.
Council members asked about construction timing and the bidding process. City staff said they are preparing the bid advertisement and will schedule a mandatory pre-bid meeting to allow contractors time to review documents. Staff reminded the council the drainage work was previously determined to be a public purpose to address a public safety need at the intersection during flooding.
