The Zionsville Community Development Corporation reported at the July 22 Redevelopment Commission meeting that it reviewed a draft business survey and outreach plan led by Boone County Economic Development Corporation.

CDC members said their July 17 meeting produced no action items but focused on a proposed business survey intended to collect demographic information and feedback on business attraction and retention. The CDC discussed ways to participate, including distributing the county survey, conducting one‑on‑one interviews with local companies, hosting roundtables or organizing larger networking events.

Justin (staff member) told the commission the CDC and town want to be proactive in understanding the needs of Zionsville businesses and in identifying steps that could help companies grow in place rather than relocate. The CDC did not announce specific incentives or funding tied to the outreach at the July 22 meeting.

The commission recorded the CDC update for information; no formal vote or budget decision accompanied the report.
