The Maryville Redevelopment Commission on July 22 reviewed proof of publication and voted to accept a single offer for the disposition of city-owned property parcels and to close the solicitation period.
Jill Chilcott, a staff member for the commission, said the advertisement yielded one submission: "There was only the David Lewis property that submitted their request. We did not receive any other offers at this time. We would want to, close the offers and proceed with the 30 day waiting period." After brief confirmation from commissioners, the commission moved and seconded the motion to proceed.
Motion and vote: the commission motion to request disposition of property at market value carried on a roll-call vote. Councilor Haines Edwards, Councilor Chandler Felton, Councilor Uzelak and Councilor Pettit voted yes; one member was absent.
Next steps: staff confirmed the commission closed the solicitation and will observe the 30-day waiting period before any further steps on disposition. No other offers were reported during the meeting.
