Daniel Rapp, a Lawrence resident, told the City of Lawrence Board of Public Works and Safety on July 10 that a video of the previous meeting had not been posted and reported recurring water ponding on Boy Scout Road.
Rapp, who gave his address as 5718 Wallywood Drive, said he expected the video to be posted to the city website "within 2 or 3 days of the meeting" and that, as of the afternoon of July 10, it "was not there, and it was not on YouTube." He urged staff to check why the recording had not been made available.
On the ponding, Rapp said the water collects in the northbound lane, "approximately across from Count Belzer, their entrance into their, facility." He offered additional directions: if traveling on Bald Creek Road heading south, after the bridge the first thing on the left is a bright blue "Welcome to the City of Lawrence" sign; the ponding occurs near that landmark and can cover the lane when it rains.
A board member responded that staff would investigate the video-posting issue and noted the person usually responsible for posting was on vacation; the board asked the street commissioner and city engineer to recheck the exact location of the road ponding. The transcript records no formal motion or vote on either topic.
Amber Finley, connected to the meeting remotely, said she had nothing to add but wanted to ensure the minutes reflected her presence. The board adjourned shortly after public comment.
