At a July meeting, the Utility Service Board for the City of Lawrence approved four sanitary sewer adjustments for residential properties totaling $2,067.39 and tabled a fifth request pending more information.
The board approved a $615.71 adjustment for 10642 Simsbury Court; a $678.83 adjustment for 6011 Wyckenham Drive due to a service-line leak in the slab; a $480.57 adjustment for 5438 Lamont La Pinta Drive due to a service-line leak; and a $292.28 adjustment for 4431 Red Haven Drive for a service-line leak in the crawl space. The total of those four approved adjustments is $2,067.39.
A separate request for 6937 Bentgrass Drive for $260.88, described in the packet as a watering-the-yard request prior to a summer sewer discount, was tabled. The business office had recommended the discount, the utilities superintendent said; board members asked for more information and tabled the item until the next meeting.
Each approved adjustment was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote; the meeting transcript records voice votes but not a roll-call tally. The board’s presiding officer noted that there were no remonstrations of ratepayer disputes regarding disconnect notices and that there were no citizen comments.
The superintendent recommended approval of the five adjustments on the agenda; four were approved and one was held for additional documentation as requested by board members.
