Proposal 3-20-25, described at the July 16 Common Council meeting as “An ordinance of the common council of the city of Lawrence, Indiana, amending title 1, article 2, chapter 5 of the code of ordinances of the city of Lawrence, Indiana,” remains under review and was not acted on by the full council.

The clerk noted the ordinance was originally introduced at the June 18, 2025 council meeting and was referred to the Public Safety Committee. The council president said the Public Safety Committee has not yet met since the June 28 council meeting and indicated the committee is expected to convene on August 4.

No public comment or staff presentation on the ordinance was recorded during the July 16 meeting and no final action was taken by the full council.
