The Lawrence City Safety Board approved task order 14 with Shrewsbury & Associates for part-time construction inspection services on projects funded by the Community Crossing matching grant 25-1.

Staff member Rapala told the board Shrewsbury prepared the bid documents and plans and will perform inspection services if the agreement is approved. Rapala said the task order covers projects awarded under the city’s Community Crossing matching grant and is distinct from a prior 2024 grant package.

Board members confirmed this task order covers the set of streets previously approved for the 25-1 grant. Board member Lawrence moved approval of the agreement; board member Miller seconded the motion. The motion carried.

The task order enables the city to begin construction oversight once contractors are mobilized under the grant-funded project.
