Kent City Schools on July 22 approved use of PerformancePro as the district’s support-staff evaluation platform and approved a five-cent increase to school meal prices for the 2025–26 school year. A presenter said the district tested three vendors and selected PerformancePro to provide a clearer evaluation process, paper trail and expectations for support staff. The board moved, seconded and approved the contract authorization. Separately, the board approved a $0.05 increase per meal after the superintendent said he had worked with Food Service Director Ray Barnes on the proposed change. The presenter noted the district continued to focus on holding fees low for families; the fee grid attached to the agenda showed adjustments for some Roosevelt fees, with increases in red where applicable. The meal-price change was approved by roll-call vote.
