The Kent City Schools Board of Education on July 22 accepted letters of resignation and approved a slate of appointments, transfers and substitute teacher appointments for the 2025–26 school year. The superintendent and the director of personnel presented appointment lists and said approvals were contingent on receipt of current background checks and required certification. The board approved personnel actions for regular appointments, substitutes and transfers during the consent portion of the meeting. Several motions to approve the personnel items were moved and seconded; roll-call votes recorded unanimous approval. No individual appointment dollar amounts or candidate names beyond the agenda attachments were read into the record at the meeting.
