The committee discussed digital approaches, including photographing assets and uploading records to a searchable, town-controlled system rather than maintaining a paper binder.
The motion asks that two advisory members follow the auditor's register, take photographs, note locations and report findings to the committee and select board. The committee emphasized that the effort will conform with open-meeting rules (no more than two members in the field together) and asked to notify department heads before site visits.
Two advisory members will begin work on the inventory and report back with findings and a recommended approach for digitizing and publishing the register.
