The board also accepted a five‑year award for HVAC filter supplies and delivery to Acadian Acadiana Filter Services, Inc., for the period July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2027.
Board member Roger Dale DeHart asked for a spreadsheet showing which schools were assigned to which vendor groups; Matthew Ford repeated that request and noted an apparent address error in one vendor listing and asked for verification of company details. “I'd like to know which schools are in group 1, 2, 3,” DeHart said, describing the practical need for contact information when constituents call.
Ford also said he was uncomfortable with a five‑year contract unless the price is fixed for the full term; other board members confirmed the contract documents showed a five‑year fixed price. Ford raised separate performance concerns about one vendor that had allegedly not met contract terms in the past and asked staff to investigate compliance outside the current agenda item.
After the discussion the motions to accept the bids passed. Board members instructed staff to provide the requested spreadsheet mapping vendor groups to schools and to look into vendor performance issues raised during the meeting.
