Council accepts Old Plantersville force main extension and releases maintenance bond for Lift Station 10

The City Council on July 15 accepted two completed infrastructure items: the Old Plantersville force main extension and a request to formally end the warranty period and release the maintenance bond for Lift Station 10, staff said. Staff explained the Old Plantersville force main extension was substantially complete in October 2024 and now meets final inspection criteria after the contractor reestablished turf along the project route. The council authorized the city administrator to sign the certificate of acceptance for the force main extension. Separately, staff said Lift Station 10 improvements were funded by Pulte for the Montgomery Bend development and that the project’s final elements have been completed; the council approved formally ending the warranty period and releasing the maintenance bond. Staff noted the lift station sits on the south side of Town Creek at Buffalo Springs and that a related pump‑upsizing project (funded by another developer, Taylor Morrison) will be bid separately as part of a two‑phase approach. Both items were approved by council voice vote and staff said final administrative steps (repressurization testing and final paperwork) will follow.
