The council approved a revision to the alcohol-license description for Mike’s Kiel Lounge to formally include an outdoor sidewalk seating area that had been omitted from the original map submitted with the license application.
Staff told the council the omission was discovered during a routine review of the license map; the owner had placed chairs on the west-side sidewalk for patrons and the map did not include that area. Staff said the simplest remedy was to amend the license description to include the sidewalk area. The owner had the required insurance and permitting documentation on file, and staff recommended approval of the revision.
A motion to approve the license revision passed by voice vote. Council members said the change was a cleanup of the original license map rather than a new use of space. The transcript did not record new conditions such as hours, separation from pedestrian flow, or additional inspection results; licensing staff will finalize the amended documentation.
