Commissioners direct move to Monday–Friday county hours when Concourse opens; staff to set schedule

Human Resources Director Carol Bancroft and staff described public and employee outreach: about 3,323 landing‑page views, 91 unique web form submissions and 264 counter survey responses collected at county public counters. Those surveys showed a majority preference for a move back to a Monday‑Friday schedule; staff summarized that the public and outlying communities appreciated in‑person access during weekdays.
Commissioners stressed the decision does not dictate internal department staffing models. The board vote was to set operational hours for the county’s administrative offices (concourse location) and to direct staff to recommend the specific daily hours based on collected data and department operations. Commissioner Hadcock emphasized that early morning hours are important for business customers and recommended consideration of an early open time.
Outcome: Motion passed; staff will return with recommended hours for the Monday–Friday schedule and continue communications with department heads to handle internal staffing arrangements.
