Commissioners approve rezoning for Koning Equipment property to allow farm-implement facility

Mister Green presented a rezoning request — zone map change proposal No. 480, case B-22-80 — to rezone a parcel on State Road 109 just north of Knightstown from Light Industrial to Highway Business at the request of Koning Equipment. "That is a request by Koning Equipment to rezone that. That's a more appropriate zoning for their desired use, which is a farm implement and maintenance facility," Green said. Green noted the planning and zoning commission approved the request at its July 17 meeting. The board took a motion, second, and approved the rezoning by voice vote. "Motion has been made and seconded. All those in favor, signify by saying aye," the chair said, and the motion carried. No conditions or amendments were read into the record during the county meeting; the planning and zoning file referenced by Green should contain any conditions imposed at the earlier public hearing.
