Council discussion singled out the student liaison program. One council member said the city should compensate student liaisons for their participation and suggested future opportunities such as student panels; another noted the stipend in the updated budget had been increased. During the exchange staff confirmed the student liaison stipend was raised from $750 to $1,000 in the new budget.
