The School Board unanimously approved a contract with Crosswinds Counseling to provide school-based counseling and coaching services for the 2025–26 school year. The contract maintains the district’s current level of services and adds 3 hours per week of services at the Spartan Success Center, a new site this year. Staff said the contract also reflects a $3,000 increase in grant funding. Missus Kleber presented the recommendation and offered to answer questions. During discussion a board member noted a prior report of a waiting list for the program. Staff said counselors maintain a waiting list and currently run five sessions available to any student in the Southwest area; counselors coordinate with student services to move through the waiting list and will expand hours if availability and need require it. The board approved the contract by voice vote; there was no roll-call tally in the record.
