Millersville Borough Council on July 22 approved several appointments to boards and commissions. Council appointed Dan Ostrowski to fill a planning commission vacancy with a term ending Oct. 31, 2026. The council also appointed Jennifer Engle as an alternate member of the Zoning Hearing Board with a term ending March 26, 2027, and named Amos Hess to the Historic Commission with a term ending Feb. 24, 2030. The president said staff will send appointment letters and advise new members of duties and meeting schedules. Jennifer Engle attended the meeting and will receive orientation materials from borough staff; Amos Hess was not present. Council recorded voice votes in favor of the appointments during the meeting and directed the clerk and manager to notify each appointee of responsibilities and schedules.
