The School Board received a year-end report on the district’s Education and Operations funds. Staff reported the education fund closed June 30 with a cash balance just under $9,600,000, representing 16.35% of the education budget; including the rainy-day fund raised that share to 19.84%. Revenues year-to-date represented 49% of annual projections, compared with 51% at the same point the prior year, and education expenditures totaled about 48% of the 2025 budget. The operations fund balance reflected proceeds from 2024 bond sales, including a $6,700,000 posting representing 26% of an approved $25,000,000 budget. Staff said the month-end operating balance, including 12.5 in bond proceeds referenced in the packet, totaled $19,200,000. The district completed spring tax settlements, and staff noted that spring collections often exceed December settlements. Board staff also reported continued transfers of $500,000 from the education fund to the operations fund; the transfers total $6,000,000 for the current fiscal year, described as just over 10% of the education fund budget. Staff indicated spreadsheets and graphs in the board packet provide the detailed comparisons. There was no separate vote tied to the financial report during the meeting.
