The City of Broussard Council approved Resolution 847-25 on July 22 declaring the West Fairfield and North La Riviera traffic signal project substantially complete after contractors addressed punch-list items, city staff said.
Daniel Hutchinson of Como Engineering told the council the signal had been operational for about a month and that the traffic engineer performed a final inspection. “They the contractors have addressed everything,” Hutchinson said. He also noted the signal experienced brief flash-mode operation during early weather events but said that problem has not recurred.
There was no public comment. Council members approved the resolution by roll call.
The resolution authorizes the city to accept substantial completion for the signalization work and proceed with final administrative closeout steps; the council record shows the motion carried and was entered into the minutes. No further action or contested appeals were recorded in the meeting minutes.
