Commissioner Chesney asked the court to reduce the county's participation in downtown and North Beach TIRZs to the same stepped schedule the county already uses for Padre Island; the court voted unanimously to make the change.
"I think we ought to reduce the remaining 2 to the same level that we've done for the island because that's fair and that's consistent," Chesney said during the discussion.
