BATON ROUGE, La. โ At a July 16, 2025 meeting at the Louisiana State Capitol, the Louisiana Tax Commission approved a package of contract change orders and acted on a separate set of prior-payment requests.
Shandrika Banks, speaking on behalf of the Louisiana Tax Commission staff, told commissioners, "Today, we have a total of 302 change orders. Staff has reviewed those change orders and request to approve all 302." A motion to approve all 302 change orders was made, and, after no objections were raised, the chair declared the motion adopted.
Banks also reported on 27 prior-payment change orders. "Today, we have a total of 27 prior payment change orders. Staff has reviewed those prior pending change orders and request to approve 2 and placed 25 in pending status," she said. A motion to approve two of the prior-payment change orders and to keep 25 in pending status was made and adopted without recorded objection.
The meeting record does not include a roll-call vote or individual vote tallies for these actions; minutes indicate the motions were adopted after the chair asked if there were any objections and hearing none. The commission did not present additional details during the meeting about the specific contracts, vendors, or dollar amounts involved in the 302 change orders or the 27 prior-payment requests.
No formal directions to staff beyond the approvals and the pending status were recorded during the discussion.
The commission convened at 10:25 a.m. and adjourned at about 10:28 a.m.
