The City of White House City Council on July 22 authorized the city manager to execute an agreement with HAF to design and manage construction of a planned four-acre neighborhood park in the Forestdale subdivision.
Staff member Aaron Martinez presented the concept and scope, saying the agreement covers community input, a finalized site plan, preparation of bid documents and construction administration. The land was donated by developer Butch Hall for park use, Martinez said; pending approval the project would begin design this summer, with design expected to finish in winter and construction potentially in spring 2026.
Developer Butch Hall addressed council and described the community demand for a park, noting more than 500 residents currently live in Forestdale and a one-mile radius around the park contains over 1,000 rooftops; he said the park would serve a broader area and tie the development together. Council approved the motion to authorize execution of the agreement.
Staff said representatives from HAF and the developer were present to answer questions and that more detailed design and cost information will be presented as the project advances.
