The Auburn City Council approved the citys consolidated plan for 2025 through 2029 and the 2025 annual action plan for the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program during the July 22 meeting.

City staff and council members held what the mayors minutes described as a "rich discussion" about how the funds would be used; the minutes said the city receives more than $700,000 annually for programs serving low- and moderate-income residents.

The mayors minutes did not include a motion maker, second, or a recorded vote tally. The minutes direct readers to the council packet for detailed allocations and program descriptions.

Questions about specific uses of the funds were referred to materials in the council packet and the meeting video, the minutes said.
