Williams was accompanied by Chris Flynn, administrative coordinator for MAP. She said students and neighborhood residents look forward to the event, and that the group sought the board’s permission to close streets for the community event. The board approved the application by voice vote; no roll-call tally was recorded in the meeting transcript.
