Resident Dave Groves addressed the council during open forum to report debris falling from a nearby water-tower structure onto his property and onto a parked pickup. Groves said he and a neighbor had reported the issue to the city and that he provided staff with photographs.
"Do you realize you can walk in my backyard and get rained on from your water tower?...This flies off whatever you got back there. I really don't wanna get hit by it," Groves said, noting that the material hit his pickup and previously fell into his backyard. He said he brought paperwork and photos and asked to speak with staff after the meeting; staff asked that he provide the paperwork to Brad and invited him to stay.
The council did not take formal action during the meeting; staff indicated they would check the matter and follow up with Groves. No timeline or remediation plan was given on the record.
