Staff provided general cost estimates for mitigation and said they will follow up when the owner gives a timeline.
A commissioner said she appreciated that a new organization is prepared to redevelop the larger parcel and asked that staff coordinate with that group and extend reasonable grace so the new organization can proceed. Staff said they have been contacted by multiple parties and will ensure commission actions do not conflict with private redevelopment efforts.
A motion to declare the properties public nuisances and authorize demolition procedures was made and seconded and carried by voice vote.
