Staff said the city follows a pattern — working generally east to west — to add stop signs at uncontrolled intersections and presented the next five locations scheduled for control. One board member asked staff to investigate an existing stop at Millard and Smith, saying the uphill approach and winter conditions make the current control uncomfortable for drivers and suggested reversing which leg is controlled. Staff said they would look into that request.
A motion by Mr. Herter, seconded by Mr. Ritchie, to recommend the stop‑sign ordinance carried by voice vote. The motion was a recommendation to the City Council; staff will return with any further engineering analysis or suggested wording as needed.
