Licensing board approves Section 12 all-alcohol license for Natalia Restaurant and Grill

The Lawrence Licensing Board approved a Section 12 all-alcohol restaurant license for Natalia Restaurant Corp. at 72 Jackson Street after the applicant corrected an error on the manager-application portion of the filing and provided assurances about seating capacity and compliance with liquor laws.
Attorney Patrick McDonald, representing the petitioner, told the board the application incorrectly listed a night-manager role at a different Lynn establishment and asked permission to replace that page so the manager’s experience is correctly recorded. "I confused him while filling this out with another party," McDonald said, then added that the applicant "was the liquor license manager of his own restaurant located in Malden" from 2018 to February 2022.
McDonald identified the petitioner as Natalia Restaurant Corp., formed in February 2023, and said the restaurant at 72 Jackson Street occupies about 1,500 square feet with seating for 50 and a small six-seat bar area. Commissioners emphasized that capacity and any future changes must be reported: Commissioner Laird said any renovations or capacity changes after issuance must be reported to the board before they take effect.
Lieutenant Olivieri and Lieutenant Frias reported no unresolved inspection issues; licensing staff requested the corrected manager-experience page and the affidavits for certified mailings and publication. McDonald said he would provide the corrected page the next day.
Commissioner Laird moved to approve the Section 12 license; a colleague seconded and the board voted unanimously to grant the license. The board reminded the applicant to maintain the posted capacity of 50 and to consult licensing staff about liquor-law requirements.
The board did not attach additional conditions beyond the normal licensing requirements and directed staff to accept the corrected manager-experience page and the required affidavits for the record.
