Board receives program evaluations and schedules first readings for multiple policies

The Lindbergh School District Board of Education received five informational reports and held first readings on multiple board policies during the July meeting; no approvals were requested for these items.

The five informational items listed for the record were: gifted education program evaluation, special education program evaluation, honors program evaluation, gifted identification (first reading) and library media services program evaluation. Board materials listed these items under "11.01 for the record" and noted they were informational only. Board members were told to contact district staff for questions.

The board also listed first readings for a series of policies and related procedures, including policy codes BBBA, EGAA, GBE, IGBB, IGBI, IGCD, IGCDA, IGD, IGDAA, JFCD, KB and KK. Procedures EGAA-AP12, GBEBC-AP1 and KK-AP1 were noted as informational only and will be brought back for a future approval vote. Dr. Sparks and Dr. McKinney were listed as contacts for follow-up questions in the agenda materials.

No votes were taken on these informational items. The board packet and meeting minutes direct members to staff for further detail and indicate the items will return in later meetings if formal adoption is needed.
