Round Lake Beach announces National Night Out event for Aug. 5

Chief of Police Ryan Rodriguez told trustees on July 21 that the village’s National Night Out will be held on Aug. 5 and encouraged community participation.
Rodriguez said the event will include a car and bike show, face painting, free hot dogs and bottled water, live music, and access to the playground and lake. He also said the village reached out to the Lake County Health Department and expects an animal-control booth focused on dogs at large and dangerous-animal education.
“August 5. The community is always invited. It's been a fantastic event year after year,” Rodriguez said.
