City manager reports flavored-tobacco hearing delayed; council to use new CivicPlus agenda system

City Manager Katie Rodriguez reported to the Richfield City Council on July 22 that public interest in a flavored-tobacco enforcement matter had led to follow-up activity, and that a hearing in the matter had been postponed because the city needed to serve a subpoena to a witness from the Office of Cannabis Management.
Rodriguez said the hearing was rescheduled for Aug. 6 to ensure the witness could testify. She also briefed the council about the city’s recent switch to a new agenda-management system, CivicPlus, and thanked staff members Michelle Friedrich (City Clerk), Mark McKinley (administrative assistant), and analyst Courtney Miller for leading the transition.
